Waterproof Beauty

Hi, my name is Susan. I have very funny story to tell you. Last Sunday was my friend Iris’s birthday, and Emily, Sue and I decided to take her out for lunch. I always have to look very good, when we get together because we judge each other through a "microscope" of our minds. That is why I am so particular about my make-up.

In the morning when I first apply it, I know that in few hours my colors will faded, specially if it is a hot day. What I hate the most are lipstick puts on glass. I do not mind my smashed eye concealer or blush losing its color. What I hate the most are the stains from my lipstick everywhere: on the napkins, on wineglasses, on my husband’s shirt, on towels, on everything that my lips touch.

But back to lunch. We took the table and started staring at each other. This is a "hit or miss" procedure. "I miss you," our eyes whispered and, at the same time, I thought, "How gorgeous they are, with perfect make-up, healthy skin (all of us go to Maria) and up-to-date clothes.

We ordered lunch and I reminded my friends that we have to lip-stamp the birthday card for Iris. Everybody has to kiss the card so she will have the contour of our lips forever. I call it the "timeless kiss".

Sue did this first, her stamp was so beautiful, and I was second. Iris decided to do this, too, for comparison; she always has to prove that her lips are perfect.

Now it was Emily’s turn. Everybody looked at her. Emily looked so guilty; we couldn’t understand why. She said, "Look, girls," and she blotted her lips with a white napkin. "What are you doing? You ruined the stamp! … and the napkin". Then she showed us the napkin, and it was completely clean. Emily continued, "I can eat an apple, drink from a glass, kiss; this lipstick does not stain."

We couldn’t even say a word. Our silent question came with one breath "How do you do this?"

Emily had a secret. As usual, she was onto something. May be she had permanent lip make-up. Finally, she let us in on her new discovery.

"I came today to tell you about this new product, but first I wanted you to see it in action. This is a new liquid lipstick that does not smear on tiny wrinkles around the mouth and does not rub off on teeth. You can kiss, eat, drink – no prints. This lipstick stays on almost all day, and you can take off in the evening with a special solution. My mother is so happy. Finally she found the lipstick lasts. The set includes liquid Lip Color, a Moisturizing Gloss, and a Remover. Girls, I tell you this is a unique product with cutting edge technology."

When we finally got out the shock, Iris became curious. "Emily, does the company make other products? What about eyeliner, eye shadow and blush? Can they make this waterproof, too?" Sue and I smiled - "You want too much, Iris." But Emily’s answer put us in a trance: "Yes, they have all of the thing you mentioned: waterproof eyeliner, eye shadow and blush. The product line is made of natural botanicals and sealed with shea butter gloss. Now when I go to the pool, I do not have to worry about my make-up."

"Okay, what is the name of this amazing company?" we all asked. "Sene Gence. You can buy this from Maria. Now I have to eat, I am starving," she said. Emily started her lunch, and all three of us were staring at her lips, waiting for results. Everything happened like she predicted: nothing on her cup - color stayed only on her lips. Emily smiled: "Looking beautiful and lasting beautifully has never been so easy!"
